After School

YMCA

The YMCA is a nonprofit organization that provides free after school services to the school/community for grades Kindergarten-5th grade. The program runs from 2:40pm-6:00pm. We have trained staff that provides homework help, health and recreation, SEL (Social Emotional Learning), and more. The YMCA also partners with the school and Counseling In Schools to create memorable school wide events. 

Academic Programs

  • K-5 Academic Recovery for Literacy & Mathematics: Provided Wednesday & Thursdays from: 2:45pm-4:00pm or Saturday from 9:00am-11:30am

  • K-5 Title III English as a New Language: Provided Wednesday & Thursdays from: 2:45pm-4:00pm or Saturday from 9:00am-11:30am

Dance

Counseling In Schools has partnered with the dance program Notes In Motion to provide an after school program for our students. Notes In Motion is committed to providing students with vital creative and expressive movement and dance programming. Their programs support the mental and physical health of individual children and their families while fostering community connections and bridging gaps between languages, cultures, genders, and abilities.

Debate

Our Elementary School Debate Team is an exciting opportunity for students to explore the art of persuasive communication in a fun and supportive environment. This program is designed to foster critical thinking, research skills, and effective communication—all while having a great time! Led by Ms. Peña-Torres & Mr. Vincenzo.
